MORRINHO TOURISM

Visit Morrinho when you're in Rio de Janeiro! The 300m2 model is situated in the Vila Pereira da Silva community, the "Pereirão", in the Laranjeiras district, in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. Morrinho is constructed from bricks, rested upon each other, and other recycled materials, and is a reproduction in both form and content of the Rio favelas.

The unique character and innovation of the Morrinho model is currently recognised by experienced art critics as a legitimate expression of contemporary art, and has already attracted to the community many different public audiences.
